Hi!
Welcome to my blog! My name is
Igors. I was born in Riga, Latvia, but currently residing in a small town
called Carnikava – about 30km north from Riga. As of 2017 I’m moving
temporarily (or at least I think so) to Helsinki, Finland. This blog is mostly
on my thoughts and emotions I’m going to encounter during my stay in this vast
and beautiful country.
My everyday job is related to analytics
and economics. For the last 10 years I’ve worked as a macroeconomist in state
institutions of Latvia – making GDP forecasts, analysis of some economy sectors
etc. In short – mostly some boring stuff for you guys.
In my everyday life I love to cook,
take photography, travel, and ski (however don’t come to Latvia for alpine
skiing). I like to enjoy good food and wine as well.
And yes, I’m married and I have a
cat :)
